Sheriff reports progress in PMC burglaries — Residents express impatience, anxiety over crime wave

Brass from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office visited Pine Mountain Club on Saturday, June 22 to give about 150 PMC residents an update on burglary investigations. The area has been stricken by a rash of more than 33 burglaries since October.

Substations Division Commander Avery Simpson, Metro Patrol Commander James Morrison and Senior Deputy James Money of the Frazier Park substation gave the briefing.

Kern County Supervisor Zack Scrivner’s field coordinator, Joshua Foster, also came.
