Shooting on Irvon Trail in Frazier Park

There is still mystery around a shooting in the 4200 block of Irvon Trail in Frazier Park on Thursday, Oct. 14. Kern County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched at 5:23 p.m. The caller at the scene said a man had been shot “in the stomach.”

KCSO public information officer Danielle Kernkamp said Jonathan Castellano, 36, had suffered a “gunshot wound to the torso.” Deputies arrived at about 5:55 p.m.

This Honda sedan stalled near Irvon Road on Thursday, Oct. 14. The driver and his dog left the car to get help. Instead they got into a dispute that became a shooting.

Kern County Sheriff’s deputies responded from outside Frazier Park to the dispatch for a shooting October 14 in Frazier Park. An ambulance had to wait 30 minutes for KCSO’s arrival to clear the shooting scene before they were able to respond with medical care to assist the injured party, Jonathan Castellano.
