FRAZIER PARK, CA (Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 8:30 a.m.)—The Mountain Enterprise has received more calls from residents wondering where the smoke is coming from this morning. Los Padres National Forest Wildland Firefighting Division Chief John Abell said this morning that the winds can carry smoke from as far away as fires burning up north near Monterey, or it could be the Sand fire in Santa Clarita. The winds change all the time, he said, and it’s difficult to know which fire is sending smoke our way. Abell confirmed that there are currently no fires burning in the Mountain Communities area.
