UPDATE: THE GRAPEVINE, LEBEC, FRAZIER PARK, GORMAN, PINE MOUNTAIN CLUB, CA (Thursday, Nov. 28, 2019 at 8:34 a.m.)—Thanksgiving day is covered with snow in the Mountain Communities. The Grapevine is closed and many will need to shovel out before they can drive anywhere.

THE GRAPEVINE, LEBEC, FRAZIER PARK, GORMAN, PINE MOUNTAIN CLUB, CA (Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019 at 4 p.m.)—Thanksgiving week will be tempestuous for travelers, NOAA’s National Weather Service forecasts. Below is the next 7-day lineup. Have chains, warm clothes and a full tank of gas with you and use and extreme caution. Most predictions say the Interstate-5 Grapevine may be closed during some part of the next few days.

Snow. Some thunder is also possible. High near 28. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.

Thursday Night

Snow likely, mainly before 10pm. Some thunder is also possible. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 11. West wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Friday

A 20 percent chance of snow after 10am. Partly sunny, with a high near 27. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph.

Friday Night

A 10 percent chance of snow after 4am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 10. West wind around 15 mph becoming southeast after midnight.
