Residents in parts of Frazier Park, Lebec, and Gorman were without electricity starting Tuesday, August 12, after Southern California Edison (SCE) initiated a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) due to high wildfire risk from strong, gusty winds. As of press time, power had been restored, but SCE warned of increased fire risk conditions in the area through Friday August 15, and cautioned residents to be prepared for a power shut-off at any time.
