There was a festive spirit among voters at all the Mountain Community polling places March 3—Frazier Park, Pine Mountain Club, Cuddy Valley and Lebec—for Super Tuesday’s primary elections. American Samoa and 14 states were all voting too. Here on the mountain, what stood out was the wide variety of dogs waiting outside.
Joe Petta of Lake of the Woods brought his giant St. Bernard (Maggie). He cast his “anyone but Trump” vote for Biden.

Grace Van Houton, 18, of LOW, is a UCLA political science student. She voted for Bernie Sanders, but will happily vote again for Joe Biden if that is the choice in November, she said.

Cheryl Bert voted in Lebec, because of a delay in Cuddy Valley when she was in a hurry to get to work. Bert voted Bernie, she said.
