Editor’s Note: Last week we received several comments from the public intended for Los Padres National Forest Supervisor Kevin Elliott, requesting that his Decision Memos be withdrawn for the Cuddy Valley and Tecuya Ridge projects and that environmental assessments be issued, with a public hearing process [see samples, on page 8]. We also received a reply from LPNF requesting that the public direct comments to comments-pacificsouthwest-los-padres@fs.fed.us

We wrote Kevin Elliott ourselves: “Given that LPNF is using Categorical Exemption procedures, is there any for you to review new public comments at all? Does anyone? Or are they placed in a “hold” file to accumulate? Thank you for your assistance in helping us understand this.”
