Come to the Mountain Youth Photo Contest Party
Saturday, Dec. 14,  5 p.m., Frazier Park Library
By Patric Hedlund
“These kids put the judges through torture,” photo contest judge Mike Cram said. “And we loved the work they submitted.”

Come to the opening gallery party at the Frazier Park Library on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 5 p.m. You’ll enjoy the play of imagination and creativity in these images from photographers 6 to 18 years of age. They challenge us to be awake to our senses and to expand our awareness of what is beautiful.

Cram, Simran Dhillon and I spent 10 hours over two different days trying to decide on winners for the Mountain Youth Photo Contest. We wanted to give awards to all of them.
This show, where you can see all the submissions to the contest, defies clichés of what youth see. The photos reflect a dynamic, contagious energy of visual exploration from mountain youth.

Winners will be announced
and refreshments served
