Tips for June 1 fire hazard reduction deadline

Mountain community residents have until June 1 to comply with the California Fire Hazard Reduction Ordinance, which was established to increase the chance of staving off the devastating after effects of the all-too-common California wildfires. This year, it follows the Palisades Fire, the Eaton Fire, and the thousands of homes and structures lost to the disaster that took place in January 2025.
