LEBEC, CA (Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023 at 5:50 p.m.)—Northbound lanes 1, 2 and 3 are open, according to CHP. Lane 4 should open by 7 p.m.

LEBEC, CA (Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023 at 4:17 p.m.)—The backup of traffic on northbound Interstate 5, due to a load of steel pipes that spilled from a big rig, is “expected to last another several hours,” according to CHP Officer D.C. Williams of the Fort Tejon Office. Williams said the traffic is backed up nearly to Castaic as motorists are trying to reach Thanksgiving holiday destinations.
