Tragedy strikes at Kern County Transfer Site in Lebec

As previously reported on The Mountain Enterprise website, there was an accident on Friday, August 30, at the Lebec transfer site.

At around 9 a.m., emergency services were called to 300 Landfill Rd. in Lebec where a customer of the transfer site, Robin Scott Stears, 63, of Frazier Park, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Fort Tejon California Highway Patrol Officer D.C. Williams said, based on video footage from the transfer site, the deceased was not wearing a seat belt when his vehicle collided with a…(please see below to view full stories and photographs)
