Delilah presents her entry, "Cozy Christmas", during a December 23 Zoom meeting with 45 other artists.

Shhh… she doesn’t know yet, and the reveal will be epic!

When she found out about Let’s Live Local’s Virtual Art Show and Contest, nine-year-old Delilah Monteon asked her mom to sign her right up.

“I had been looking for something like this to enter her in,” Delilah’s mom Ashlee wrote to organizer Debra Manoogian.

Delilah has been “obsessed” with art since she was a baby, she wrote. Born seven weeks premature, Delilah spent a full month in neonatal intensive care, and as a toddler developed alopecia, a disease causing hair loss. Her mother says it doesn’t affect Delilah’s confidence a bit, even when people stare at her out in public. Her focus and most of her time is tuned to making art.
