Suspected ‘forklift burglar’ arrested in Bakersfield

LEBEC, CA (Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 4:14 p.m.)—Kern County Sheriff’s Office announced minutes ago that the suspected ‘forklift burglar,’ Garrett Sanders, was arrested this afternoon in Bakersfield.

LEBEC, CA (Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 12:15 p.m.)—Kern County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in locating the suspect from yesterday’s burglary of Jack In The Box and China Red House restaurants in Lebec. See the flyer at right.

LEBEC, CA (Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 3:51 p.m.)—Kern County Sheriff’s Office provided the following information to The Mountain Enterprise this afternoon. See Thursday morning’s newspaper for any additional information:

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted for Burglary and Grand Theft Auto. On October 22, 2019, between 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., the man depicted in the photographs was last seen driving a stolen Dodge Ram truck (CA 31920R2), reported out of the Bakersfield Police Department (19-220293), following two burglaries at Jack In The Box and the China Red House on Frazier Mountain Park Road in Lebec.

He is also wanted in connection to a stolen forklift that was crashed into the side of Jack In The Box during one of the burglaries. The Dodge Ram truck remains outstanding.
