• The Mountain Theater Alliance presents an encore performance of ‘Breaking Legs’ with dinner at 6 p.m., show at 7 p.m. See Nov. 12 listing for details.

Saturday, Nov. 14

• Saturday School for El Tejon Unified is from 8 a.m.–noon. Elementary students attend at Frazier Park School; El Tejon and Frazier Mountain High School students attend at FMHS. Buses will run. This fun event also helps the schools’ budgets and compensates for losses from student absences.

• Support your Falcon Cross Country Team and get fit at the same time. Join us for a 5K run on the beautiful mountain trail above FMHS. 11 a.m., $8 donation. Meet at the FMHS parking lot.

• Want to feel safer ladies? Attend a Self Defense Workshop for Women and Girls, 6:30–8:30 p.m., given by the Mountain Valley Association of Kung Fu San Soo at the Frazier Park School cafeteria. Open to students 13 and older (signed parent or guardian consent required for those under 18); waiver required. Cost is $8/single and $15/2 students as a family discount. Event sponsored by Mountain Memories Association and National Cement. Proceeds to benefit El Tejon School’s fifth grade class to support their trip to Camp KEEP.

• Come to the Opening Reception at Artworks Gallery, 7 p.m. for a new show featuring Jeff Zimmerman and Izumi Tanaka, you will find stunning art, delicious refreshments, great company and a major surprise (16233 Pine Valley Lane, Pine Mountain Village).

• Holiday Faire Planning meeting is 5:30 p.m., at Caveman Cavey’s in Frazier Park. Come share your talents and ideas to help make this year’s faire and Festival of Lights Parade a fun time for the whole community.
