• Do you need help preparing your taxes? The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program is available from 9 a.m. to noon at the Frazier Park Library to prepare tax forms for those who qualify. Call the Family Resource Center to sign up, 661.245.4303.

Saturday, Mar. 26

• Bring the kids to the 14th Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Community BBQ at Frazier Mountain Park. Get there early. The hunt starts at 11 a.m. sharp. New this year are art and writing contests. Get your entry forms at local churches and businesses, including The Mountain Enterprise.

• A Women’s and Girls’ Self Defense Class will be offered at 1:30 p.m. at the Los Padres Kung Fu San Soo studio, 7025 Cuddy Valley Road, Ste. 1, Lake of the Woods; 661.699.8350. The two hour workshop is for women 15 and over, $10 per student at the door. No experience is needed and no long-term commitment is required. Those under 18 years of age will need a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

On Saturday, April 2 from 1 to 3 p.m. The Backcountry Horsemen of America host a screening of “Mule: Living on the Outside” a film in production by John McDonald at the Frazier Park Library.
