• The Holiday Faire and Festival of Lights Parade is Saturday, Dec. 3, noon–6 p.m. The parade is at 5:30 p.m. Parade and sponsorship applications are available now at www.mymountainchamber.com/holidayfaire.

• A public hearing regarding the Grapevine Project will be held Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. in the Board of Supervisor’s chambers (1115 Truxtun Ave., Bakersfield). This may be your last chance to comment before the project’s approval.

• Don your Holiday finery. A Dickens Christmas Tea at the Ridge Route Historical Museum is Saturday, Dec. 10 at 3 p.m. Traditional British treats will be served. Tickets are $15. Call the museum at 661.245.7747 to make a reservation.

• A Pearl Harbor Day Remembrance program will be presented jointly by VFW Post 9791 and the Ridge Route Historical Museum, Sunday, Dec. 11, 2 p.m. at the VFW Hall (612 Canada Tr., FP). There will be speakers, a military salute, music, displays and refreshments.
