• Kids, c’mon and get your free books—it is Family Day at the Friends of the Library’s Used Book Sale! Every child receives a free book at the sale today, which runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Frazier Park Library.

• Enjoy a dinner theater date with friends. Mountain Theater Alliance presents ‘Blithe Spirit,’ Noel Coward’s dry comedy, with a buffet at PMC’s Condor Room. Dinner is at 6 p.m., curtain is at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 (reservations: 661.242.3788). All are welcome to this fun event.

• Last chance for Saturday School! It’s from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for all K-12 students in the El Tejon Unified School District. This educational and fun ‘Festi-School’ meets at Frazier Mountain High School. Attendance helps fund your children’s school. See bus schedule on page 16 of the print edition.

• Such a deal! Everything is half price on this final day of the Friends of the Library’s Used Book Sale, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. at the Frazier Park Library. Enrich your home bookshelves while supporting this institution that is so very precious to our community.

• Frontier Army Days is 10 a.m.–3 p.m. at Fort Tejon State Historic Park [4201 Fort Tejon Rd, Lebec]. Travel back in time to experience daily life for dragoon soldiers and civilians in the 1850s. Entry is $5 for adults, $3 for kids 7–17; six and under free. Bring a picnic lunch!

• Supper and Spirits for Saturday: Mountain Theater Alliance’s dinner theater production of Noel Coward’s ‘Blithe Spirit,’ a farcical comedy about ghosts, continues. The evening begins with an old-fashioned English-style dinner at 6 p.m., with curtain at 7 p.m. in PMC’s Condor Room. All are welcome. Tickets are $30; call 661.242.3788 for reservations.
