• Parade applications for the 36th Annual Pine Mountain Club Lilac Festival (May 19–20) are due today. The Lilac Fest is a tradition of fun and festivities to celebrate the coming of spring to Pine Mountain Village. See www.pmclilacfestival.com.

• Vrroom! Today is the deadline to register early for the Ridge Route Run Car Show to get the $25 rate; tomorrow it goes to $40. Registration forms are available at www.ridgerouterun.com.
