• Join the Chili Cookoff! Frazier Park Moose Lodge is hosting this showdown, where chili chefs prep 8–10 a.m., then cook 10 a.m.–
2 p.m., then face the judges (including guest judge ‘Elvis’)! Chili fans can taste the entries starting at 2:15 p.m. for a $5 donation to The Moose. Cook-off entry fee is $20 for all of you red-hot chili chefs; for more information, rules and to sign up, call 661.245.1630.

* Pine Mountain Club’s Concert on the Greens is 4:30–7 p.m. with the instrumental world music of Incendio. Though the primary ‘voice’ is guitar you’ll love hearing mandolin, bouzouki, violin, Celtic harp, piano, bass, synthesizer and a rich menu of ethnic percussion instruments. The PMC Guitar Society will also play. Bring blankets and beach chairs! Dance the night away with Boys Nite Out inside the clubhouse (7–11 p.m.).
