• ‘Travel the World’ is Homecoming theme at Frazier Mountain High School tonight. Come join the fun. Support your team! The parade is at 6:30 p.m. Stay to cheer on our Falcons as they take on Mission Prep. Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned at halftime ($8 for adults, $5 for students and $3 for kids 12 years and under). Bring coats and blanket to be comfy. ‘Night in Paris’ dance is 8 p.m.–midnight.

• An Evening of One Acts is 7:30 p.m. at Artworks Community Gallery (16233 Pine Valley Lane, Pine Mountain Village). Featured are one-act plays by local writers, performed by local actors. Refreshments will be served. Suggested donation is $5.

• Show our precious Los Padres Forest some love: National Public Lands Day Forest Cleanup is 8 a.m.–3:30 p.m., helping the USFS with restoration at the Piru Creek/Goldhill area. Wear long-sleeve shirts, long pants, boots, a hat and sun protection; bring gloves, plenty of water and a lunch. You’ll meet at Motel 6 in Lebec and carpool to clean-up site. • Park Run for fun is 8 a.m. at Frazier Mountain Park. Starts and ends at the parking lot. Five laps is three miles. Time yourself (or not), and walk, run or job as much or little as you want. For all ages, and leashed pets are welcome. Come meet new friends and move that body!

• Frazier Mountain Little League Yard Sale is 10 a.m.–3 p.m. at South Kern Christian Church parking lot (3224 Mt. Pinos Way, FP, next to Falcon’s Nest). All proceeds go to buy red dirt to maintain the fields for our little sluggers.

• Mountain Neighbor Event in the Park is 10:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. at Frazier Mountain Park Community Center. Bring a side dish to share at the potluck lunch, and enjoy the many planned family-friendly activities, including making elderberry ice cream and yucca paint brushes. This event is free and open to all (until the room hits maximum capacity). See ad on page 10 for more details and RSVP information.
