A representative from Wind Wolves will discuss their wildlands conservancy, habitat preservation, reintroduction of tule elk, classes and workshops and volunteer opportunities. All are welcome, no reservations needed.

• Embrace the dark on a Night Hike Saturday, July 6, 8:15–10:15 p.m. at Wind Wolves Preserve. The dark of the new moon is ideal for star gazing. Naturalists will tell of nocturnal animals and lead sensory awareness activities. Black lights may be provided to discover glow-in-the-dark critters. Ages 6 and up (no strollers). These are free, but book up fast! Reservations open June 22 via www.facebook.com/WindWolvesPreserve.
• Public comment is being accepted on the proposed Tejon Indian Tribe Trust Acquisition and Casino Project (306 acres near Mettler, at Interstate 5 and the 99, just north of Outlets at Tejon).
