• The Perseid meteor showers peak in the wee early morning hours Monday, Aug. 12. Because the bright moon may impair viewing on this year’s peak date, earthsky.org suggests pre-dawn viewing on the weekend before (Aug. 9–11).

• The Let’s Live Local Everything Exchange is Sunday, Aug. 25, 11 a.m.–3 p.m. in the lower PMCPOA parking lot.
