* The Rich Herman Band will be playing from 7 p.m. at the PMC Condor Lounge (2524 Beechwood Way). The band is a local favorite, featuring classic rock, blues, jazz and some R&B. Trivia: they were the last band to play the clubhouse before the pandemic lockdown.

• California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) public workshop on PG&E’s Corrective Action Plan and wildfire risks is 1–4 p.m. Tune in at www.adminmonitor.com/ca/cpuc. • Mark your calendar! The Frazier Mountain Health Fair is Saturday, June 26, 9 a.m.–1 p.m., Frazier Park School. Show up for your life and health. Free tests of many kinds are available, including blood panels, stroke risk scans and even some free dental screenings.

• Vax for the win! Get vaccinated and have a chance to nab all kinds of swag. The big lotteries are over, but more prizes are constantly being added for folks who get vaccinated. See nearby vaccination options on page 5.

• ‘Color Your World’ and become a Reading Artist! Join the Summer Reading Challenge, which runs until the end of July. Participants keep a log as they read 10 books, or read for 10 hours. They can earn free books and other incentives. Sign up at the library.

• The WIC—Women, Infants and Children—food program offers a temporary increase of $35 per month for fruits and vegetables, through September 30. Call Mountain Communities Family Resource Center (MCFRC) to apply or for more information, 661.245.4304.

• Pine Mountain Club’s Concert on the Greens returns, with Rebel Heart kicking off, Saturday, June 26, 4:30–7 p.m. It is on the PMC golf course, so bring blankets and beach chairs. Food and drinks are available for purchase (no outside food or drink). Masks required, and social distancing is recommended.

• ‘Programs on the Patio’ at Ridge Route Communities Museum is five Saturday evenings in July, starting July 3, 7 p.m. with Local Military Encounters 1700–2000: Native Peoples to Afghanistan. See ad on page 5 of the print edition.
