• ‘Walk in the Park’ is a new, fun way to get moving for health, every Tuesday in July and August, 7–7:30 a.m. Dr. Brent Burket and his wife Dr. Jennifer Theone will take turns leading these walks in the cool of the morning.

• Open Harvest fresh food giveaway from Laborers of the Harvest in Taft, 6 p.m.–7 p.m. (every Tuesday and Thursday). Come down and gather food for you and your loved ones—what you can carry is yours, so food is served on family tables rather then ending up in the trash or a landfill! • ‘Color Your World’ and become a Reading Artist! Join the Summer Reading Challenge, which runs until the end of July. Participants keep a log as they read 10 books, or read for 10 hours. They can earn free books and other incentives. Sign up at the library.

• Fiesta Day is back as a one-day street fair, Saturday, August 7, 9 a.m.–10 p.m., starting off with the 53rd annual Ed Perine and Dale Hansen Memorial Parade, then booths, vendors and fun activities. Mountain Memories needs you for this! They invite anyone wanting to volunteer to help put on this fun-fest to call 661.623.2340. Hopefully we’ll be back to the traditional 3-day park event in 2022.

• Frazier Mountain High School FFA Farmers Market invites vendors for Saturday, July 17, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. at FMHS, $25 per space, everyone welcome.
