• The 54th annual Fiesta Days celebration is back, 11 a.m.–10 p.m., today and Saturday, August 6, and 11 a.m.–6 p.m. Sunday, August 7. See live performances, shop artisan and commercial vendors, watch the parade, join a contest, play at the carnival, and so much more. Admission and parking are free. Tickets for the carnival are sold at Ace Hardware, Mountain Top Video, Sue’s Tavern, Old Ridge Route Antiques, and Rick’s. Carnival tickets are $25 for a sheet of 24. • Meet the Candidates and listen to a forum on agriculture at the Ventura County Fair, 5–7 p.m. in the Ventura County Fair Ag building (10 W. Harbor Blvd., Ventura). Candidates have been invited to participate in discussions and present their views on agricultural issues. Those in attendance will also be given the opportunity to ask the candidates questions.

* Catch Cary Park live at the Condor Lounge for a musical variety of country, rock and other classics, 7–10 p.m. (2524 Beechwood Way, PMC). Cary is a local singer and songwriter who performs his own music and covers of classic rock and country.

* Outdoor Movie Night at Pine Mountain Club presents Clifford the Big Red Dog, 8 p.m. (2524 Beechwood Way, PMC). This film is based on an adaptation of the beloved Clifford book series by Norman Bridwell. The next movie night is August 19 at the PMC POA Pool.

• VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) post 9791 hosts their annual Frank Thorpe Memorial Pancake Breakfast during Fiesta Days, today and Sunday, August 7, 7–11 a.m. at the Community Recreation Center (3801 Park Dr., FP). Help support your local VFW, grab breakfast with your neighbors then head over to the Fiesta Days celebration! Last call for the Pancake Breakfast is 10:30 a.m. each morning.

• Outlets at Tejon hosts a Back To School Bonanza, 1 p.m. at the Outlets at Tejon outdoor mall (5701 Outlets at Tejon Pkwy, Lebec). This free giveaway of school supplies includes backpacks, pencils, binder paper, crayons, colored pencils, erasers, rulers, folders, high-lighters, binders and glue sticks. Show up to shop and start the school year off with a helping hand.

• Lockwood Hillbillies take the stage performing outlaw country music at La Sierra Mexican Restaurant, 6 p.m. in the lounge (3500 Mt. Pinos Way, FP). All are invited.

* Bandit performs a mix of classic rock, blues and country music live at the Condor Lounge, 7–10 p.m. (2524 Beechwood Way, PMC).

• Sign up now for the Snips Ahoy Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic for Unincorporated County Residents, now through Monday, August 29. The clinic will be held Monday, August 29. Only 4 pets per household. Pets must be under 7 years of age, in good health, and proof of address is required. Cats 2 months to 7 years and puppies 2-3 months old have a $20 co-pay. Dogs over 3 months old have a $40 co-pay.
