• Catch Steve Wilkinson at the Condor Lounge for live music entertainment, 7–10 p.m. (2524 Beechwood Way, PMC). Musical entertainment at the Condor Lounge is open to the public.

• Frazier Mountain High School’s first home football game is today, 7 p.m. at the FMHS stadium (700 Falcon Way, Lebec). They will play against Lucerne Valley. Welcome back Falcons, and good luck!

• Concert on the Greens returns with City Beat and the Main Street Horns, 4:30–7 p.m. City Beat and the Main Street Horns are known for their rhythm & blues, rock and soul music.

• Join the Mountain Communities Family Resource Center for Children’s Circle, 11 a.m.–12 p.m. at Frazier Park (3801 Park Dr., FP). Children of all ages are invited to the park for fun activities, crafts, games and socializing. This event occurs every Wednesday at the same time. • The AARP Frazier Park Chapter Senior Exercise program continues every Monday and Thursday, 11 a.m.–noon. This program is held at the Frazier Park Community Center (3015 Mt. Pinos Way #201, FP). • Run To The Pines Auto Show early registration is open now. Registrations cost $30. Enter today at www.runtothepinesautoshow.com or sign up at the gate. Run To The Pines Auto Show is September 17, 9 a.m., in Pine Mountain Club. This event is presented by the Pine Mountain Club Commercial Property Owners Association, Inc.

• Frazier Park Library is looking for volunteers to participate in their Halloween Haunted House, now and leading up to the event. • Shelter on the Hill’s 20th Annual Festival of Wine & Cheese is Saturday, September 10, 3–6 p.m. at the Tejon Ranch Equestrian Center (1401 Crane Canyon Rd., Lebec). Support the local shelter by enjoying crafted wines, live music, auctions an door prizes for $30 per person. Tickets can be found at Rescued Treasures Thrift Store and Frazier Mountain Real Estate in Frazier Park, or pay $35 at the gate.

• The Mountain Communities Family Resource Center Benefit Bash is Saturday, September 17, 5–8 p.m. at 16233 Pine Valley Lane, PMC. Support our local family resource center through art, music, gift baskets, and more. All proceeds benefits the MCFRC.

• Sign ups for the Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic for Unincorporated County Residents begin Wednesday, September 21. The clinic will be held in Lebec on Wednesday, October 19. Only 4 pets per household. Pets must be under 7 years of age, in good health, and proof of address is required. Cats 2 months to 7 years and puppies 2-3 months old have a $20 co-pay. Dogs over 3 months old have a $40 co-pay. • Kern County officials will host an in-person community education workshop in Frazier Park, Wednesday, September 21, 6–7 p.m. at the Frazier Mountain Park Recreation Center (3801 Park Dr., FP) to discuss public safety, vital services and local control measures that will be up for consideration on the November 8 ballot.
