Run To The Pines Auto Show is September 17, 9 a.m., in Pine Mountain Club. This event is presented by the Pine Mountain Club Commercial Property Owners Association, Inc.
• Beat the heat at our local Kern County Cooling Center. The Frazier Park Recreation Building (3801 Park Dr., FP) opens to the public when the temperatures of our area are forecasted above 93 degrees Fahrenheit. Masks and social distancing are required. This facility is closed when temperatures are predicted to be below 93 degrees.
• Shelter on the Hill’s 20th Annual Festival of Wine & Cheese is Saturday, September 10, 3–6 p.m. at the Tejon Ranch Equestrian Center (1401 Crane Canyon Rd., Lebec). Support the local shelter by enjoying crafted wines, live music, auctions an door prizes for $30 per person. Tickets can be found at Rescued Treasures Thrift Store and Frazier Mountain Real Estate in Frazier Park, or pay $35 at the gate.
• The Mountain Communities Family Resource Center Benefit Bash is Saturday, September 17, 5–8 p.m. at 16233 Pine Valley Lane, PMC. Support our local family resource center through art, music, gift baskets, and more. All proceeds benefits the MCFRC.
• Celebrate Our Diversity at the Mountain Neighbors event in the park, Sunday, September 18, 2:30–4:30 p.m. (3801 Park Dr., FP). Bring your own dish celebrating your culture to this free international potluck. Activities, games, music and costumes are encouraged.
