• Run To The Pines Auto Show is 9 a.m. in Pine Mountain Club. This event is presented by the Pine Mountain Club Commercial Property Owners Association. Public entry and parking is free.
• Ridge Route Car Tours return today and Saturday, September 24, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. The cost is $20 per person, which includes a hand out of historical information. This event is limited to 12 cars total, so reserve your space now. For more details call Ridge Route Communities Museum at 661.245.7747.
• The Mountain Communities Family Resource Center Benefit Bash is 5–8 p.m. at 16233 Pine Valley Lane, PMC. Support our local family resource center through art, music, gift baskets, and more. All proceeds benefits the MCFRC.
• Lockwood Hillbillies take the stage performing their outlaw country music at La Sierra Mexican Restaurant, 6 p.m. in the lounge (3500 Mt. Pinos Way, FP). All are invited.
• Bingo Night is every Saturday, 6–9 p.m. at VFW post 9791 (612 Canada Trail, FP). Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the first game will begin at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited. VFW pull-tabs and refreshments will be offered for sale. Bring a friend and support your local veterans and the many ways they support your community.

• Join the Mountain Communities Family Resource Center for Children’s Circle, 11 a.m.–12 p.m. at Frazier Park (3801 Park Dr., FP). Children of all ages are invited to the park for fun activities, crafts, games and socializing. This event occurs every Wednesday at the same time. • Kern County officials will host an in-person community education workshop in Frazier Park, 6–7 p.m. at the Frazier Mountain Park Recreation Center (3801 Park Dr., FP) to discuss measures that will be on the November 8 ballot.

Ongoing and Upcoming
• Beat the heat at our local Kern County Cooling Center. The Frazier Park Recreation Building (3801 Park Dr., FP) opens to the public when the temperatures of our area are forecasted above 93 degrees Fahrenheit. Masks and social distancing are required. This facility is closed when temperatures are predicted to be below 93 degrees.
• The AARP Frazier Park Chapter Senior Exercise program continues every Monday and Thursday, 11 a.m.–noon. This program is held at the Frazier Park Community Center (3015 Mt. Pinos Way #201, FP). Annual dues for the chapter are $5, and are payable upon attendance. If you have questions, call Beth Gomez (chapter president) at 661.245.5472.
• Frazier Park Library is looking for volunteers to participate in their Halloween Haunted House, now and leading up to the event.
