• The last day to submit photos for the Mountain Youth Photo contest is today. Submissions must be accompanied by the signed form, which can be found on page 7 of The Mountain Enterprise. This contest is for ages 6–18. The awards ceremony will be held Jan. 14, 2023.

• Cary Park entertains at La Sierra Mexican Restaurant, 5:30 p.m. (3500 Mt. Pinos Way, FP).

• Walt & Pam perform a variety of mixed music at The Condor Lounge, 6-9 p.m. (2524 Beechwood Way, PMC). The Condor Lounge is open to everyone.

Saturday, December 31

• Lockwood Hillbillies perform for New Year’s Eve entertainment at La Sierra Mexican Restaurant, 5:30 p.m. (3500 Mt. Pinos Way, FP).

• Ring in the new year with a disco-themed dinner and party, followed by a live performance by Meridian, 6 p.m.–12:30 a.m. (2524 Beechwood Way, PMC). Tickets are $65 each plus tax and gratuity. Visit the Condor Lounge for more information.

• Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Frazier Park Moose Lodge, 9 p.m. and watch the New Years Eve broadcast from New York with a complementary glass of champagne. Some food will be provided, but feel free to bring a dish!

Ongoing and Upcoming

• Frazier Park Library hosts the Kern County Food Drive, now through December 30, presented by the Golden Empire Gleaners. Donate canned foods, hot and cold cereals and water or juices to Frazier Park Library. Donations help feed thousands of people throughout Kern County during the holiday season. • The AARP Frazier Park Chapter Senior Exercise program continues every Monday and Thursday, 11 a.m.–noon. This program is held at the Frazier Park Community Center (3801 Park Dr., FP). For questions, call Beth Gomez at 661.245.5472.

• Bingo Night is every Saturday, 6–9 p.m. at VFW post 9791 (612 Canada Trail, FP). Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the first game will begin at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited. VFW pull-tabs and refreshments will be offered for sale.

• Recycle your Christmas tree instead of throwing it out back by visiting the Lebec Transfer Station, now through January 9. This program is sponsored by Kern County Public Works. For more details, see ad on page 5.

• The last day to sign up for Frazier Mountain Little League baseball and softball is Sunday, Jan. 22. Early Bird registration discounts are available until Jan. 5. Visit www.FMLL.com for more information.
