Romance is in the sky from Neenach to Apache Saddle.

Peter Lamberto of the Pine Mountain community met this awe-inspiring sunset on Saturday, Feb.10 from the Los Padres National Forest Apache Saddle Station on Mil Potrero Highway.

Jeff Zimmerman had his date with a romantic sunset from his deck in Neenach, along Highway 138, the next day, on February 11. “A few clouds streamed in last night to make a wonderful sunset,” he said.

His mind, however, was on practical matters: “It is very dry on the desert now, with hopefully a trace of rain soon.”
The National Weather Service forecast a possibility of light snow above 4000 feet by mid-week, while Neenach may see some light Santa Ana winds.
