VFW’s Wilford Bummer to be interred at National Cemetery June 29

VFW Post 9791 Chaplain Wilford Bummer will be interred at the Bakersfield National Cemetery at 9:15 a.m., Wednesday, June 29 with his wife Dorothy. He is the man who anchored VFW Post 9791’s honor guard for almost three decades, who showed up to carry the flag for every Mountain Community Fiesta Days, Lilac Festival and Fantasy of Lights Parade, plus Veterans Day and Memorial Day ceremonies.

All are invited to attend.

The cemetery is at 30338 E. Bear Mountain Blvd, Arvin, CA 93203.
