Marion Franklin is a fit woman who introduced herself as the grandmother of a flock of children waving American flags and waiting at the entrance to Piñon Pines. By 3:20 p.m. last Friday, Sept. 11 Franklin was there chatting with Jessica Glaze and nephew Tyler Geike, watching for signs of equestrians.
