Western Antelope Valley wins ban on wind turbines

The vision of a forest of 500-foot-tall industrial wind turbines dotting the landscape, “rumbling like a freight train that just never passes by” was vividly rejected by the residents of unincorporated Western Antelope Valley July 14. The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors unanimously agreed with their concerns.
