‘Huuuge’ seems to be the word of the moment for those pulled into the contagious fascination of the slow-motion presidential primary season, but on Friday, March 19 a local team may have won the most huge trophy ever brought home to the Mountain Communities.

Dana Dever and Crystal Adams have been working to cultivate the performance and competition team from In the Wings Studio of Dance in Frazier Park for five years. This week the group of 18 dancers won “Best Overall Production” at the Next Level Dance Competition of Southern California in Pomona. “We are so excited and never did we picture winning a trophy like that!” Dana Dever said. The winning performance was “Holding Out for a Hero.” We can all see it May 28 at the Ridge Route Run Car Show, Dever said.

This is part of the March 25, 2016 online edition of The Mountain Enterprise.
