Where is the help after the floods?

Two weeks ago the Kern County Fire Department sent its dozer team to help restore Woods Drive in Lake of the Woods so that residents could get to their homes. The entire road washed out July 18. Mud, boulders and rocks from the hillside smashed across Frazier Mountain Park Road, closing it to traffic for more than 12 hours.

LOW neighbors were grateful that the fire department crew that normally cuts firebreaks and battles wildland fires was allowed to assist them.
