INCIDENT COMPLETED: Wildfire at top of Cuddy Valley not spreading yet

FRAZIER PARK, CA (Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024 at 9:30 a.m.)—A wildfire reported at about 8:45 a.m., about a half mile up Mt. Pinos Road from “The Y” is not spreading much due to lack of wind this morning. The first crews on scene were Kern County Engines 58 and 356. Firefighters ran hose about 200 yards up the hill from Mt. Pinos Road to the flames near McGill Trail. Chuchupate Ranger Station had it helicopter making water drops. on the flames. All of this activity was underway as crews were en route from other Kern County stations and other agencies.
