You may remember State Assemblyman Kevin McCarthy relishing his rides through our Lilac Festival and Fiesta Days Parades, waving joyfully from the back of a convertible.

He showed his skill as a politician then, calling out the names of people along the Mountain Communities parade routes as if he was our best friend.
