Bill Hopper is a generous man. If he knows something, he’ll share it with you. Bill had his 90th birthday on June 25. He has served for almost a decade on the Lebec County Water District as a board member, treasurer and chairman. He’s also a member of Friends of the Frazier Park Library.

For years Hopper tutored people of all ages at the library in the fine art of being a competitive chess player. He also provided classes to help HAM radio fans pass their Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Ham Radio operator’s exam.

At the Frazier Park Library Trunk or Treat Halloween event in 2015, Bill Hopper showed off his radio gear to kids and parents and gave out candy treats with members of the Ham Radio Club. His costume? “Bill Hopper dressed as Bill Hopper,” he laughed.
