A heads-up if you plan a trip to Bakersfield or parts north during the next five weeks: the on-ramp from Frazier Mountain Park Road to northbound Interstate 5 will be closed for construction. Caltrans suggests motorists take the southbound I-5 Frazier Mountain Park on-ramp, exit at Gorman Road, then re-enter the freeway at the northbound I-5 on-ramp in Gorman. You may also wish to travel north on Lebec Road to enter at the Fort Tejon on-ramp.
