FRAZIER PARK, CALIF. (Tuesday, May 11, 2010, 5:58 p.m.)–The Kern County Board of Supervisers voted at about 5:15 p.m. today, after two and a half hours of reports from the Planning Department and comments from the public, to unanimously certify the Environmental Impact Report for the Frazier Park Estates development project in its 557-home version, plus 25 acres of commercial development adjacent to Flying J on Frazier Mountain Park Road. Included in the plan is a "cluster" of 41 townhomes to be built adjacent to the commercial area,

About 35 Mountain Community residents attended the hearing. Eleven of them spoke. Nine opposed the project, two spoke in favor of it. Supervisor Watson made lengthy comments at the end, itemizing the issues he felt had been raised over the seven years of study by the community and the county regarding this project.
