Body from Mount Pinos area officially identified

CUDDY VALLEY, CA (Friday, April 19, 2013 at 4 p.m.) —The Mountain Enterprise has received official confirmation that the body of the young man found deceased in a green Honda on Burbank Road, just west of the Mil Potrero ‘Y’ has been officially identified, and the cause of death confirmed.

Dawn Ratliff, Kern County Sheriff’s Office coroner manager, released the information that Scott Andrews, age 21 is the name and that the manner of death is suicide.

The Mountain Enterprise was at the site on Burbank Road, Frazier Park area shortly after the first  report at 10 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, but has waited to make this report until we had official confirmation.

Andrews is said to be a Frazier Mountain High School graduate with many local friends. He was seen just last weekend hiking with a friend in the forest adjacent to the Pine Mountain community. Teachers from FMHS have made Facebook comments expressing despair at the news, and condolences to the family.
