Electricity Restored in Pine Mountain

UPDATE–FRAZIER PARK (Wednesday, Aug. 17 at 9:47 a.m.)–Power has been restored to areas of Cuddy Valley and Pinon Pines which were also affected by the outage.

UPDATE—PINE MOUNTAIN (Wednesday, Aug. 17 at 9:05 a.m.)—Power has been restored to the Pine Mountain community, according to personnel at the Pine Mountain Club POA clubhouse. School at PMLC will open today as planned.

UPDATE —PINE MOUNTAIN (Wednesday, Aug. 17 at 8:07 a.m.)—
Parent Alexis Edwards writes that if power is not restored by 10 a.m., parents have been notified via an automated telephone message that the first day of school for PMLC will be cancelled. We will keep you posted.

An update status from SCE said that the failure appears to be due to failed equipment, and that they are currently searching for the location of the problem.

UPDATE —PINE MOUNTAIN (Wednesday, Aug. 17 at 7:50 a.m.)—Alexis Edwards sent a ‘breaking news’ report that there will be a two-hour delay at Pine Mountain Learning Center (PMLC) because of the electricity outage. The estimated time for restoration of power is between 9 and 10 a.m., according to personnel at the Pine Mountain Club POA clubhouse.

PINE MOUNTAIN (Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011 at 6:30 a.m.)—The electricity went out in the Pine Mountain community at 5:02 a.m. Wednesday morning. According to Pine Mountain Club Patrol, Southern California Edison "is aware of the problem, and is on their way up here to fix it." The Pine Mountain Club clubhouse has generator power.
