Public Hearing on Tejon Mountain Village Delayed to September 10

FRAZIER PARK (Juy 24, 2009, 10:20 p.m.)—Ted James, Kern County Planning Director, said in an email to The Mountain Enterprise July 23 that the public hearing regarding the draft Environmental Impact Report for Tejon Mountain Village has been continued to Thursday, September 10. It was previously scheduled for August 13. The Frazier Park Estates hearing is still scheduled to be heard on August 13.

James wrote: "In reviewing the public and agency comments received on the Draft EIR for the Tejon Mountain Village project, the Planning Department has determined that a continuance of the August 13, 2009 public hearing before the Planning Commission to the September 10, 2009 Planning Commission hearing would be appropriate to provide sufficient time to prepare the responses to all comments received and provide the Planning Commission and other interested parties with time to review the responses incorporated in the Final EIR. A letter will be sent to interested members of the public who have been following this project to inform them of the change in the Planning Commission public hearing date."

Both hearings will be held in the Board of Supervisor chambers at 1115 Truxtun Avenue in Bakersfield. The pubic is invited to comment to the Kern County Planning Commission.
