LAKE OF THE WOODS (October 17, 2011 at 4:22 p.m.)—Kern County Sheriff’s Deputies have just released word that three people have been arrested for a home invasion robbery and assault in Lake of the Woods.

On October 15, 2011, at about 12 p.m., Frazier Park Substation deputies were dispatched to a home on the 6800 block of Frasier Road in Lake of the Woods to check the welfare of a man yelling for his neighbors to call 911.

The man told deputies three men forced entry into his home, threw him onto the floor, hit and kicked him on the head and upper torso numerous times and threatened to kill him. The victim escaped, ran to his front yard and yelled for neighbors to call 911 and the suspects fled in a lowered red Ford F-350 pickup.

Deputies initiated a statewide broadcast for the suspect vehicle and California Highway Patrol officers stopped it on southbound Interstate 5, near Highway 126. Victor Perez, Felipe Perez and Alberto Ramirez, all from Santa Ana, California, were arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, false imprisonment, criminal threats and conspiracy.
