Small earthquake ripples to Pine Mountain community

PINE MOUNTAIN, CA (Friday, July 5, 2013 at 9:30 a.m.)—A small earthquake rumbled near the Pine Mountain community early Friday morning at about 12:41 a.m.

According to the US Geological Survey, the quake was magnitude 3.0 at a depth of 8.1 miles. The location was four miles northwest of the Pine Mountain community on the San Andreas fault.
