Update on Interstate 5 crash victim

FRAZIER PARK, CA (Friday, March 29, 2019 at 1:02 p.m.)—We reported this week that the 21-month-old boy whom first responders rushed by helicopter evacuation to Northridge Hospital last Saturday was critically injured. More than 30 vehicles were involved in a chain of collisions during heavy fog between Frazier Mountain Park Road and Gorman School Road. Thirteen other people were transported to hospitals for treatment of injuries sustained in the collisions. A horse trailer was hit from behind and one horse died. See the story “Local Heroes Help in Gorman Freeway Crash” on page 1 of the print edition.

We were informed today that the child passed away Wednesday night after The Mountain Enterprise had gone to press, by CHP Public Information Officer Richard Anthes.
