It may have been Friday, March 13, but Peter Green of Pine Mountain is one very lucky guy. He walked away from a 1 p.m. crash at the intersection of Mil Potrero Highway and Cuddy Valley Road that could well have been fatal.

According to the California Highway Patrol investigation, a 1995 Honda Civic driven by Sing Wong, 45 from Hayward failed to stop at the stop sign. Green, 40 said his Dodge Ram truck was headed westbound when the Civic skidded into him. “The truck overturned in slow motion,” he said, adding that though much of the cab was flattened, the driver’s area landed in a hole, leaving him uninjured. Both drivers wore safety belts. No citations were issued at the scene.
