Election results announced for PMCPOA

PINE MOUNTAIN CLUB, CA (Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 4 p.m.)—Champagne, strawberries and visiting with friends marked the end of the 2015 election cycle for Pine Mountain Club Property Owners Association (PMCPOA) Saturday, June 20.

Newly seated board members are Garry Kemmer (567 votes), Stephan Bates (563) and Douglas Wilde (344), who took their oath of office. All eight of the bylaw changes proposed by the governing documents committee also passed for adoption.

Carolyn Smith (333 votes) and Eduardo Amezcua (334) were not elected, but are encouraged to try again next year.

Mike DeAngelis,William Gurtner and Cam Acosta were thanked for their service as they stepped down.

The Inspector of Elections said there were 2,898 members at the moment, of whom 2,833 are in good standing and eligible to vote. PMCPOA needed 709 ballots to be cast to be attain the required 25% quorum. There were 768 ballots received , satisfying the quorum.

Last year 890 ballots were cast, so there was a 122-member drop in participating voters.
