UPDATE: Smoke in Lebec-Frazier area is from Santa Clarita fire

FRAZIER PARK, CA (Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 6:50 p.m.)—Kern County Fire Department has dispatched a strike team to the Calgrove fire in Santa Clarita area. Here is the notice from Public Information Officer Tyler Townsend:

A Strike Team of Type III Engines has been ordered for the Calgrove Fire. Engines 318 (Stallion Springs), 345 (Edison), 356 (Lebec), 363 (Oildale) and 376 (Kernville) are assembling at the Lebec Fire Station. 4 person staffing on the Engines, 1 Strike Team Leader and 1 Assistant Strike Team Leader for a total of 22 KCFD personnel.

FRAZIER PARK, CA (Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 5:25 p.m.)—Smoke that Frazier Park and Lebec residents may being smelling is from a brush fire in the Santa Clarita area near Calgrove Ave. that has caused evacuations today. There is no fire in the Mountain Communities at this time.
