Electricity fails again in Pine Mountain, part of regional pattern

Pine Mountain Club, CA (October 27, 2014 at 6 a.m.)—Power went out at about 5:41 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27 from about 5:41 to 5:45 in Pine Mountain Club. This is at least the third time these short outages have occurred this month.

One family in the Nadelhorn section of the Pine Mountain community said their computer was “blown” with the outage that occurred last week. They had it protected on a power strip with a surge protecter, but now have had to replace the power supply and install a battery back-up system to filter surges. They said they plan to send the $1000 bill to the electric company to seek reimbursement.

“Dirty power” in this area has been credited with costly loss of equipment, from well motors in Lebec to office equipment and household appliances in Frazier Park to computers and peripherals in Pine Mountain.
